The NN Dam tot Damloop could never have become one of the biggest running events in the world without the great atmosphere that is created by the more than 250,000 spectators each year. The event is not only fun for the runners, but also for anyone who wants to experience the unique atmosphere of the NN Dam tot Damloop.

On this page we inform the spectators on the best spots to support the runners. It is therefore possible to support your favorite runner(s) multiple times.

At the start, along the course and at the finish, you can cheer on the thousands of participants throughout the day. Encouragement that runners deserve like no other, because running the NN Dam tot Damloop is anything but easy, in fact it’s a great achievement!

Mini Dam tot Dam Runs Molenwijk: Molenwijk, Amsterdam-Noord (Sunday 9:00 – 9:15 AM)

Did you know that after the start you have plenty of time to reach the finish? You can travel in just 12 minutes by train from Amsterdam Centraal to Zaandam NS Station. From there, it’s only an 800-meter walk to the NN Dam tot Damloop course and very close to the finish. It’s a great combination that allows you to see the person you want to cheer on both at the start and at the finish.
Additionally, live music performances take place at over forty locations throughout the event. In the weeks leading up to the event, the locations of the entertainment will also be available on the website.

Finish

The climax for the runners and spectators will be at the finish! What is more fun than to cheer for the runners after their glorious achievement, when afterwards enjoy the Dam tot Dam Finish Festival together.

Mini Dam tot Dam Runs Zaandam: Burcht Zaandam (Saturday 5:00 – 6:00 PM)
Mini Dam tot Dam Runs Molenwijk, Amsterdam-Noord: (Sunday 9:00 – 9:50 AM)

Be aware! A visit to the centre of Zaandam is very nice, but especially the Dam and the area behind the finish at the H. Gerhardstraat can be very busy. When it is to crowded the Dam can be closed temporary for extra public. Parents with (young) children are advised not to visit the Dam. The Dam tot Dam Fanplein, near the Dam, is a perfect location to encourage the runners. Would you like to meet someone after the run? Go to the Dam tot Dam Finish Festival.

Alongside the course there are various locations where you can cheer on the participants.

Bridges over s116 (Nieuwe Leeuwarderweg)
Between kilometer point 2 and 3 there are 5 bridges, from these bridges you have a unique view over all the participants that run underneath these bridges over the s116 (Nieuwe Leeuwarderweg). From Metrostation Noorderpark it is even possible to travel to the finish in Zaandam. For more information visit www.9292ov.nl.

Oostzanerdijk / Noorder-IJ en Zeedijk
Looking for a spot where you can see the participants run by? Than this location is what you are looking for. Here you will nog miss any runner. The Oostzanerdijk and Noorder-IJ and Zeedijk, is the course that connects Amsterdam and Zaandam. Park your car at the industrial zone Kolkweg-Noord or Sportcomplex Poelenburg at Zaandam. Perfectly to reach, free parking and no need to hurry to encourage the runners.

NN Dam tot Dam Park
The Dam tot Dam Park (Burgemeester in 't Veldpark) is the 'place to be' during the weekend! On Saturday the participants of the Dam tot Dam Wandeltocht finish at the park and also during the Damloop by night the park is the location where you must go, the afterparty takes place at the park. There is live music from the band that plays the best dance, rock and hiphop tracks. On Sunday the park opens early for the welcome of the business teams. The whole day participants and supporters pay a visit to the Dam tot Dam Park, to celebrate the great performances with drinks and bites and enjoying the festival atmosphere. Sunday the winners from the various competitions will also be honoured at the park.

Burcht

Dam tot Dam Square with big children's party
The Dam tot Dam square on the Burcht in Zaandam is the perfect spot to cheer on the runners. The participants run by the square between 11.00 and 17.00 hours. Also the children's party will take place all day at this square. Children can play table soccer, run around at the Athletics Arena or climb on the obstacle course. With food trucks and performances on the stage, there is also plenty to do for the parents. Participants of the Mini Dam tot Damloop can also win amazing prices during the lottery.

The NN Dam tot Damloop is live on Sunday from 10.00 hours until the last runners passes the finish. In the over 7 hours broadcast on tv, radio and online we can look at the present world top athletes, the thousands of recreational runners and the unique atmosphere alongside the course.
