Damloop by night sets Zaandam on fire

As night fell, the starting gun of the eighth edition of the Damloop by night sounded today. As many as 10,000 runners, wearing blue ASICS shirts, let themselves be carried away by the sweeping beats along a magically lighted course. There was plenty to see along the way, many thanks to the people of Zaandam who created a spectacular atmosphere. Furthermore, music could be heard everywhere and participants could enjoy crazy light acts on the water. The illuminated string of runners moved en masse into the park after the finish on the Peperstraat for the cosy after-party. Here the victories could be toasted and the DJ provided a swinging cool-down.

Now on to tomorrow! Then the main event of the Dam tot Damloop is on the program, the 10 English Mile from Amsterdam to Zaandam with 40,000 runners.
